Penmanship gets progressively worse going down the page. After the third marriage, the entries jump to earlier months. The May entries possibly were entered earlier towards the bottom of the page, and the subsequent ones filled in the top. The latter three are not likely to be 1735 entries, since the frequency of marriages is too great.

Wondering which of these was the one to transcribe. The bottom one would be quite difficult.

There appears to be a capital N or capital V before ethen, but just the ethen part is underlined. In the 1 September 1757 baptism of Anna Gertrudis Jacobs, the godmother was Gertrudis Nethen, written the same way.

The exact spelling of primissario (primissarius in nominative singular) obtained from other records on the page, in which the same person was a witness. Primissarius is a term no longer used, but was a priest funded to celebrate mass each morning in a remote chapel, before his regular work. Unknown if there is an equivalent word in English.

Witness Rüker could also be Küker, but we find the Rüker name in other records. Here the bride’s surname is clearly Thonen, but we find the name Tohnen elsewhere. If the same family name, Thonen is probably the correct spelling.

The word dimissorialibus could mean sent, but was also once a term meaning a pastor appointed by the bishop, and not reported to the State.

The word sponsa to be grammatically correct should be sponsae.

Cateroquin is derived from Latin for chain, and implies the entire set of legal requirements, here translated as “all.”

9 November a dispensation for the marriage bond concerning their double blood-relationship, and banns having been announced, Joannes Wilhelmus Bruck from Bullingen and Maria Bruck from Wirzfeld contract marriage in the face of the church; present as witnesses (were) Mathias Bruck and Anna Catharina Schleck, all from Bullingen.

The question of consanguinity may have been a concern because both future spouses had the same surname.

In the words ecclesiae and praesentibus, while ae in the handwriting looks like a simple a, they are written slightly differently, and grammar requires they be written ae.

The name of the first sponsor is preceded by Rndo duo Arolo, some letters of the first two words doubly underlined and probably indicating an abbreviation, maybe a title. The third word may by part of his name.

A primissarius is a priest funded to celebrate mass in a separate chapel each morning before his regular work. The term is no longer used.

On 5 May at 6 in the morning I undersigned vicar have baptized a legitimate daughter, born in Krinkelt, of Huberts Brück and Anna Magdalena Vossen, married, in the same dwelling, giving her the name of Anna Magdalena. Sponsoring were Etianus Brück from Krinckelt as godfather, and Anna Magdalena Hoenen from WIrzfelt as godmother. The father is dead in ayig faith. This document done in the vernacular language. While written and signed 5 May 1782.

The priest uses an abbreviation for “in the morning” but is consistent with the other records on the page. Most of the last digit of the year of the record is off the page, but appears to be 2, as in 1782. The priest calles father of the child Huberts, but should have written Huberti the proper form here for the name of Hubertus. Anna Maria Vossen could easily be interpreted as Anna Maria Nossen.
