L'an mil huit cent douze, le vingt neusième Joar du mois d'octobre à huit heure du matin, pardevant Guillaume Schmit nommé Commissar special à l'offet de remplir les fonctions de Maire et officier public de l'Etat Civil de la Commune de Bullenge, est comparu Etienne Toussaint jeune homme Cultivateur demeurant à Murrenge, agé de vingt huit ans, né a dit lieu je dix Sourbrod, Maire de Butgembach, le vingt un September de l'an mil sept Cinc quatrevingt quatre comme conste de l'Extract donnèssoner delivré par le Maire de la Commune de Butgembach, fils legitime et majeur de Jean Toussaint, et de Catherine Veltz ici present et constante au Mariage de son fils.

Et Marie Catherine Reuter jeune fille cultivateure demeurante au dit lieu, agée de ving un ans, neé au dit lieu le sept September de l'an

Lesquels nous ont réquis de proceder à la Celebration du Mariage projété entre eux, et dont les Publications ont été faites pendant deux Dimanches consecutifs scavoir le dix huit, et le vingt cinq de ce moise et affiché par Extract au lieu accoutumé pendant Intervalle voulu par la Loi.

Aucune Opposition ne nous ayant été significé au dit Mariage faisant Droit à leur Réquisition, et après avoir donné lecture de touts les Pieces à-dessons mentionées, ainsi que du Chapitre six de Code Civil initalé au Mariage, avons demandé au futur époux, et à la future épouse, s'ils veulant se prendre pour mari et pour femme, chacun deux aÿant répondu séparement, et affirmativement avons declaré au Nom de la Loi que les dites Etienne Toussaint, et Marie Catherine Reuter sont unis par le Mariage - De quoi avons dressé Acte en Présence de Joseph Reistorff Ardoisier de Profession demeurant à Saint Vith, agé de trente deux ans, de Nicolas Girten agé de cinquente huit ans, de Gerard Remÿ, agé de ving un ans, et de Matheau Bruck agé de vingt neuf ans, les trois derniene demeurans au dit Bullenge, et ont signé après lecture faite, la mère du Conjoint declare de ne savoir signee.

Marriage

1812, 29 day of October at 8 am, before Guillaume Schmit, appointed special commissioner of the office of fulfilling the functions of Mayor, and officer of vital records for the community of Bullange, appeared Etienne (Stephan) Toussaint, a young man, farmer, residing in Murrenge, 28 years old, born in this place I call Sourbrodthe Mayor of Butembach, (born) on 21 September 1784 as it says in the given extract issued by the Mayor of the Municipality of Butembach, a legitimate and adult son of Jean Toussaint and Catherine Veltz here present and agreeing to the marriage of his son.

And Mary Catherine Reuter, a young girl. farmer living in said place, age 21, born in said place on 7 September of the year

1791, as agreeing with the baptismal registry for the foregoing parish of Bullenge, legitimate daughter of Nicolas Reuter here present and consenting to the marriage of his daughter, and Elisabethe Doeman.

Which have required us to proceed to the celebration of Marriage projected between them, and whose banns were made during two consecutive Sundays namely the 18th and 25th of this month and posted by extract on the usual place during interval desired by the Act.

There not having been any opposition means that they have the right to their request, and after having done the reading of all the parts mentioned, as well as Chapter Six of the Civil Code to begin marriage, we have asked separately the groom and the bride, if they are willing to take themselves for husband and wife, and each of the two responded separately and affirmatively, and we have declared in the name of the Law that the said Etienne [Stephen] Toussaint and Marie Catherine Reuter are united by the Marriage - of which we have drawn up the Act in the presence of Joseph Reistorff, slate man by profession, residing at St. Vith, age 32, of Nicolas Girten age 58, of Gerard Remy, 21, and Matheau Bruck, 29, the three last residing in said Bullenge, and have signed the document having been read to them, the mother of spouse declared that she does not to know how to sign.
